Dear IAU Friends,
We are getting all set for the 27th IAU 100km World Championships. Almost all the federations have arrived and the stage is set for the opening ceremonies tomorrow. Please see the attached media release for the event.
You can follow the race live at home. The following site: http://www.stuweb.co.uk/ will carry results. You can also like the facebook page and follow the twitter page for the race site at this website as well. This will allow you to follow the race from the comfort of your home.
There will also be an opportunity for you to “watch” the live race. The LOC will have three cameras set up on the course and you will be able to watch action from different areas on the course. You can watch this at: http://lifeinaspire.qa/
This time around as well we have tried to bring the elite international running community closer to the community in Doha. This has included trips to local schools, training run with the community runners and a chat session with the international athletes where Doha runners can ask questions.
On Thursday we have the Medical Conference, Press Conference, Congress, Technical Meeting and the Opening ceremonies.
On a separate note, the 50km World Trophy Final went very well. Collen Makaza and Emily Harrison won the tenth version of the event. Post Race Report is attached.
We are all looking forward to the first ultra world championships in the Middle East. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Yours in Sport,
Nadeem Khan
Director of Communications
